Mareike Noah, Consultant FT-ICR MS Specialist

Mareike Noah joined GEOS4 in 2016 as Chemist with extensive experience in ultra-high resolution mass spectrometry (FT-ICR MS). Currently, she also works as a Postdoc in the Organic Geochemistry Group at GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, Potsdam, Germany.

Mareike studied chemistry at the Free University and the Technical University Berlin and holds a Master of Science (Chemistry) with a focus on analytical and environmental chemistry. She conducted her Ph.D. at GFZ within the Helmholtz Alberta Initiative on the fate of organic matter in Canadian oil sands and reclamation sites. Now she is working on reservoirs, oils and shale condensates using FT-ICR MS. As a Postdoc she is involved in the project “Microbial processes in the deep biosphere of the CO2-dominated active fault zone in NW Bohemia” characterizing complex mixtures of heteroatomic and high molecular weight compounds.
